The Eurocopter HH-65 Dolphin is a twin-engine helicopter in service With the US Coast Guard (USCG). it's primarily used as a short range recovery (SRR) aircraft. It is a US version of these French-built Eurocopter SA366 G Dauphin.
The Dolphin helicopter powered by, two Lycoming LTS-101-750B-2 every and each creating 742 shaft HP. The Dolphin is frequently deployed from one shore however it can be deployed from one medium and high endurance Coast Guard Cutters, and the Polar Icebreakers. The Dolphin's major jobs are: search and rescue, enforcement of laws and treaties (including drug interdiction), polar ice breaking, marine environmental protection Which include pollution control, and military readiness.
