Z-19 Anti-Armor Attack Helicopter

China's AVIC aviation firm has revealed the first prototype of the new homegrown anti-armor attack helicopter Z-19. This new attack helicopter the helicopter is based on Z-9W attack anti-armor, which in turn is derived from building permit AS-365N.

The new helicopter is likely to be developed to complement Z-10 attack helicopters has suffered several delays due to problems with the engine. Z-10 helicopter flew back attack for the first time on April 29, 2003.

New Z-10 has been modified to reduce engine exhaust IR signature Z-10 helicopter. Initially Z-10 prototypes were powered by PT6C-76C engine, but the production version of Chinese are willing to use the WZ-9 engine. The latest rumor claimed that the first batch of Z-10A is entering service with PLA Army Aviation.
