AW149 New Multirole Helicopter PhotosAgustaWestland announced the launch of the new AW149 Multirole Helicopter in June 2006 at the Farnborough Airshow.
The AW149 is a 7t to 8t class multi-role helicopters for military and paramilitary. The helicopter will have a maximum cruise speed of 296 kmh (165kt) and a high hover ceiling of 8,000 meters or less all the weight up. The AW149 will take up to 16 soldiers and have a range of over 920 km.
